Physiotherapy

Using our comprehensive understanding of biomechanics and functional anatomy, we can assess any movement that is causing you a problem. Our biomechanics assessment involves a postural analysis and the breakdown of any movement or activity so that we can assess and correct any issues.

Womens Health

We can assess and treat a wide range of women's health issues ranging from pregnancy, post-natal, pelvis pain and incontinence. Women's health can often be unspoken about, and a sensitive topic, but at Bodymechanics we treat our patients with the upmost respect and confidentiality. All our physiotherapists are experienced in treating women's health conditions, but we have a female physiotherapist who specialises in women's health.
sports massage

Sports Massage

Muscle tension is a very common cause of pain and not just from playing sport. Many factors can affect the muscles, making them overactive and causing soreness or tightness. Sports Massage can help to relieve tension from the muscles, allowing them to function normally by alleviating aches and pains associated with muscle over activity.

Golf Swing Biomechanics

Working closely with Mark Bull (PhD Golf Biomechanist) and Greg Brodie (Level 2 Golf Coach) we have integrated our assessment of the golf swing with biomechanical data and good golfing technique to offer effective assessment and treatment. We work with all levels from new players, to European Tour professionals. If you would like to find out if you have any musculoskeletal restrictions to achieving your ideal swing, we are here to help.

Gait Analysis

We are able to integrate our assessment techniques and biomechanical screen into running analysis. We use our gait analysis equipment to optimise movement patterns in order to maximise running performance and alleviate pain. We work with a range of abilities from your 'fun-runner' to those competing at international level.

Long Term Pain

Our multi-disciplinary team has a vast amount of knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. By using our biomechanical screen and taking the time to listen to your past medical history, we have become known as the physiotherapy team that can diagnose and treat conditions where others have failed.
pilates

Pilates and Yoga

Our physiotherapists are all trained in basic Pilates movements and exercises. Pilates is designed to increase the muscular control of movement and has become a staple exercise for many dance schools and even premier football clubs. It is great for improving back strength and movement.
acupuncture

Acupuncture

Used for millennia in China, acupuncture has only recently gained recognition in the UK as a useful tool within healthcare. At Bodymechanics we use acupuncture for pain relief and to decrease muscle tension. We will never use this on a client without first deeming whether this is necessary, and will always gain consent prior to this treatment.
